Bringing a puppy into your life is exciting—but it can be full-on too. Nipping, biting, toilet accidents, chewing, jumping up, pulling on the lead, ignoring you when it matters most… all completely normal. But definitely not things you have to put up with.
The Smart Puppy Course is here to help. No pressure, no perfection—just practical training that fits into your life and actually works.
We focus on building calmness, confidence and connection using fun, simple games that lay the foundation for a happy, well-mannered dog. And you won’t be alone—I’m here to support you every step of the way.
What we cover:
This isn’t about drilling obedience — it’s about playing fun, engaging games that teach your puppy real-life skills without the stress.
Through four core games — Magic Mat, Confidence Quest, Engage Mode, and Toy Swap Drop — your puppy will learn how to:
• Walk nicely on a loose lead
• Come when called, even with distractions
• Settle and relax at home
• Manage their biting and build focus
Along the way, we’ll chat through all the essential puppy topics like toilet training, sleep routines, socialisation, fear periods, and how to handle common challenges in a calm, positive way.
It’s all designed to help your puppy grow into a confident, well-mannered dog — while having fun together every step of the way.
Group Class
£80 for 4 x 1 hour classes
Location: Damside House, Johnshaven, Montrose. DD10 0HY
Join a small, supportive class (just 3 puppies per group) at my quiet countryside venue. You’ll train in a calm, enclosed setting—not a chaotic village hall—with access to an indoor training barn, paddock, and private woodland.
Includes:

✅ Video demos via the app or website to support your practice at home
This is proper training that works—not a free-for-all of barking pups and shouted commands.
In person 1:1

Snuffle Spot for Puppies
If your puppy isn’t quite ready for a class—or you’d just like to see the venue and have a relaxed chat before you commit—Snuffle Spot is a lovely place to start.
It’s a private indoor enrichment space where your puppy can sniff, lick, explore and investigate at their own pace, with no pressure and no other dogs around.
While your puppy explores, you’ll have the chance to chat with me, ask questions, and talk through anything you’re unsure about. It’s a great way to get early support and set your puppy up for success from day one.
Laura specialises in customising activities for dogs with restricted exercise and supporting owners through this challenge. Her mission is to ensure these dogs remain calm and content despite limited daily exercise, fostering enduring bonds between them and their owners through compassionate training methods.
